Information: Rotary Leadership Institute Kicks Off for District 6690All across America there is a push for Leadership Training specifically focused on Rotary and creating the next generation of Rotarian leaders at both the club and district levels. Our District is teaming up with District 6670 (SW Ohio) to present the Leadership Training Institute. This is based on a national program. This is a 3 part intensive training designed to give a Rotarian the leadership skills and the knowledge of Rotary to serve in a Club or District leadership capacity. You will have the opportunity to apply for this institute starting now. The three sessions will be held in the Springfield or Dayton area. Each session is $85 and is all day. It is our hope that clubs may assist those individuals in their clubs wanting to participate with scholarships to help defray the cost. The upcoming dates are January 23, 2010 (Part I only), May 22, 2010 (Parts I and II) and September 25, 2010 (Parts I, II and III). Rotary Leadership Institute Seeks TrainersThe District is seeking Trainers for the Rotary Leadership Institute to facilitate discussions about Rotary topics. You will be trained, given a manual of the sessions, get to choose the dates you can attend and the sessions you would like to present. Not every trainer will participate in every training session and you cannot present more than twice in one training seminar. If you have, or would like to develop facilitation skills, then you should consider this opportunity. Those that have completed the first Train the Trainer session include PDG Peggy Murgatroyd, PDG Dick Brixner, PDG Jim Flaherty and Susan Flaherty, AG Larry Jenkins, AG Lisa Kaltenecker, PP Bryan Holbrook and Sgt.
